Q. What Medicare-covered items does Medico Express provide?

Medico Express is pleased to offer a wide variety of medical supplies, including - but not limited to - the following:

Q. How does the Medico Express service work?


It is very easy to obtain your medical products from Medico. First you must complete our simple enrollment process. After that, we do all the work! We verify your insurance benefits, contact your physician, and obtain a prescription for the supplies you need. We utilize an auto-shipment program, so you will receive your products every three months. You don't even have to pay for the shipping - all we need a quick authorization from you prior to each shipment.

Our staff is trained in all of the paperwork necessary for reimbursement, so we take care of all of that, by accepting assignment from you to bill Medicare and/or private insurance directly. You will never have to deal with complicated forms!

Q. How much will I have to pay for my supplies?
After you have met your yearly deductible, Medicare (Part B) pays 80% of the cost of supplies. Secondary or supplemental insurance policies often pay the remainder, allowing you to receive your supplies at no cost.
Q. Do I pay any up front out-of-pocket expenses?
No. You pay no money up front when you order diabetes-testing supplies from Medico Express.
Q. Is Medico Express an approved Medicare supplier?
Yes. We are very pleased to be able to offer our products and services as a Medicare supplier.
Q. Do I need to have Medicare Part B in order for these supplies to be covered?

Yes. In fact, most of the supplies that we offer, including diabetic supplies and services, are covered under Medicare Part B under the following conditions:

  • You have a qualified diagnosis, and
  • Your doctor prescribes the items based upon your medical need.
Q. In order to enroll with Medico Express, do I need to have secondary insurance?
Secondary insurance is not a requirement of enrollment. The benefit of secondary insurance is that in most cases having it allows you to get Medico supplies at no cost.
Q. What is a Medicare deductible?
This is the amount you are required to pay before Medicare begins paying its portion of a medical bill. This amount is "reset" at the start of each calendar year. Medicare takes your deductible out of your claims as it receives them. The annual deductible must be met before Medicare will begin paying on any of your claims.
Q. What is the 2009 deductible for Medicare Part B?
All Medicare beneficiaries must pay for the first $135 of covered medical expenses.
Q. What is my Medicare Part B premium for 2009?
Most people will pay the standard monthly Part B premium of $96.40 in 2009. Some people will pay a higher premium based on their modified adjusted gross income.
Q. Does Medico Express accept Medicaid?
While we are unable to accept Medicaid as your primary insurance, we are happy to accept Medicaid as a supplement to Medicare.
Q. Am I able to get my supplies from Medico Express if I am in an HMO?
No, the Medico program is currently unable to service patients who are in an HMO. Please contact us again when you do Medicare as your primary coverage.
Q. How soon will I receive my first package of supplies, and how is the order sent to me?

We contact your physician immediately after completion of the enrollment process. As soon as we are in receipt of the prescription from your physician, we ship your package via an expedited mail service at no cost to you.

Depending on the response time from a physician, it usually takes between 5-10 days to fill the order, and shipping takes another 3-5 business days.

Q. Couldn't I just get my supplies from a local pharmacy?
Getting to the pharmacy can be inconvenient. It's much easier to receive your supplies directly and on a regular schedule. You also wont have to fill out forms, pay up front, or wait for reimbursement on our program.
